Since it's Rama Rao's 30th feature film as the lead actor, the movie was first formally announced in April 2021 under the working title NTR30. The actual title was revealed in May 2023. The movie was split into two parts towards the end of 2023. For this segment, principal photography started in April 2023 and ended in August 2024. Filming was done in Goa, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Shamshabad, and Thailand. Anirudh Ravichander created the film's music, while R. Rathnavelu handled the photography and A. Sreekar Prasad handled the editing. On September 27, 2024, Devara: Part 1 was released globally in regular and IMAX, 4DX, ScreenX, D-Box, MX4D, and ICE formats. Critics gave the film positive reviews, complimenting NTR Jr.'s performance and the action scenes, although they also critiqued the narrative.[5]
